At first glance, I thought there’d been some kind of crazy festival over the weekend which got pretty rowdy in which several musicians lost their instruments & left them behind:

Then I quickly realized these lost & damaged scattered items are part of the memorial & convey a powerful message!

The wall includes quotes from survivors from Oregon & SW Washington

I was walking a friend’s dog, a large chocolate lab who appears tiny next to a giant redwood Sequoia at the memorial!

Another item left behind, a child’s teddy bear:
